Samaj Unnayon Palli Sangstha (SDRS) is a non-government; non political voluntary development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged, underprivileged poor and poorest people in Bangladesh starting from Gaibandha District in 2003. It works especially for neglected and deprived women, children to raise their collective voice and human rights by uniting and organizing adequately. It desires to see a developed society where people are living with peace and tranquillity. With the aim to improve socio-economic status of the disadvantaged and underprivileged poor and poorest poor people in by a dedicated young social worker from different background came across together with social working zeal & encouragement for the people, by the people and of the people.

SDRS emphasizes to ensure education, health, diversified livelihoods, and ecological environment, disaster and climate change issues encouraging self-help esteem for empowerment to turn out their vulnerabilities. Envisioned a prosperous country with sound socio-economic status where people are living with dignity, peace and tranquility, SDRS is committed socially to perform its best efforts to empower the poorest people especially women and children for their own wellbeing. Presently it has been operating its development activities in 162 Upazilas of 27 districts covering approximately 1 lakh 25 thousands of poor and poorest people throughout the country.
